The Friends of St Peter's Church are a group of people, not necessarily churchgoers, who wish to ensure that St Peter's Church is adequately maintained throughout this century and beyond, as it has been for the last seven hundred and fifty years. We hope that by forming the Friends it will be a very useful way of maintaining links with many in the community who are not regular worshippers but nevertheless realise the importance of this historic building and wish to secure its upkeep. In this way we wish to encourage local community life as well as providing additional funds for building maintenance and development.
Patrons: James Tillard, Norman Baker MP, Mark Evans CVO, Bill Shelford.
Chairman: Paul Carpenter FCA, a Parish Councillor and member of both St. Peter's and the Free Church's congregations and a member of St. Peter's PCC.
